Muslim Hands International [MHI] is an International Relief and Development NGO, established in the United Kingdom in 1993 with the objective of providing relief and emergency services and long term sustainable development projects in a cultural, ethical, effective, efficient and transparent manner. Muslim Hands works both directly and with partners in 40+ countries worldwide carrying out short and long-term projects in emergency relief, shelter, safe water, medical care, education and vocational training. Muslim Hands Afghanistan has been operating since 1994. The organization obtained formal registration from the Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan (registration No: 141) in 2002, and is now firmly established with its Headquarters in Kabul, and is fully engaged in relief, education, and development activities in different parts of the country
The Education Officer shall be responsible to coordinate issues with provincial project team, provincial stakeholders as well as central stakeholders and to ensure that all activities in the target provinces are implemented according to the project work plan and to ensure effective record keeping of all project activities by team members. She/he shall be responsible to collect the reports from various layers, review, provide feedback and finally share it to project manager for final review and approval.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinating issues with relevant central as well as provincial stakeholders including MoE departments and directorates, Project Kabul staff, Project provincial staff, PED, DED and DoLSAMD, child protection stakeholders; and NGOs and local civil society
Assists in the creating and updating of ECW/GPE – CBE Projects Leadership presentations and promotional materials that showcase the program and highlights accomplishments;
Assist the education coordination in establishing appropriate systems to implement the Education activities in partnership with communities and district education authorities.
To assist the education coordinator to establish and strengthen the coordination between all stakeholders in particular Save the Children Alliance members to work as one entity.
Manage technical issues of the project in the field and report expenditures based on project proposal and budget work plan to the education coordination.
Assist the project field staff in planning, Implementation and supervision.
Ensure regular supervision of field staff and program activities/ facilities through development of supervision plans and timely report to the Program Manager.
To set up appropriate after getting advice/ and consultation with the education Manager in monitoring and evaluation system for different levels in whole catchments area.
To collate field staff weekly and monthly activity reports and submits provincial report on time to line coordinator/ manager.
Assist the education coordination as per our role and responsibilities requirements in order to meet organizational strategic objectives.
According to the role, policy and mandate that have been set by save the children, the education team in general to follow the maximum children safeguarding policies in project target areas.
According to the role and responsibilities, education officer is responsible to manage, motivate and provide timely feed back to the project field staff in response to their performance toward the project objectives.
Bachelor Degree (Master Preferred) in Education, Social Science, project management or any related field with 5 years’ relevant experience.
Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft office suite specially Ms. Word, Ms. Excel and PPT
Excellent verbal written and analytical skills.
Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Languages: Written and Spoken fluency in English, Pashto and Dari languages is a must.
Geography: Based in Maidan Shar , if needed will be travelling to Districts
