Job Description:

ROLE PURPOSE:

Program assistant will work closely with food security and livelihood unit of SCI in order to undertake the administrative support with FSL unit.

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :

The program assistant will perform the day to day operational work for ECHO and HN department as needed. These activities are listed but not limited to,  

  • Follow up of ECHO and HN paper work with other departments.
  • Closely engage in the procurement support of HN staff.
  • Closely support on the business plans of project beneficiaries.
  • Data entry of department activities.
  • Printing, copying and scanning of documents.
  • Basic translation of the files.
  • Follow up on meetings, meeting minutes and skype call minutes.
  • Coordination of country office with provincial team.
  • Developing and updating the office charts (project charts)
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the ECHO Project manager.

    Job Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    University degree in Business administration, social science, development studies.

     

    EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

    Essential

    • At least 2 years administrative experience with NGO.
    • Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff and other stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication (both oral and written) in English and local languages, people skill for conflict resolution and negotiation;
    • Computer proficiency, especially related to professional office software packages (Microsoft Office);
    • Previous working experience with intertnational organization is an asset.

Afghanistan has one of the slowest internet speeds in the world. Broadband connection is not available in everywhere and mobile data as a most used way to connect to the world is very expensive. Job search portals are very heavy and takes lots of time to load; therefore making it very hard and time-consuming for job seekers to find their dream job. To address this problem we launched Afghanistan's first speed optimized job search portal, with at least 15 times faster load time and maximum 200 kbs page size.
