ICU Consultant in Kabul

Job Description:

Regular Responsibilities:

• Care of critical ill patients in ICU
• Assessment of patients in life-threatening situation in FMIC
• Assure quality of care in ICU
• Assure continuity of care in ICU 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week
• Inform patient’s attendants about situation of the patients
• Educate and inform patient/Family of necessary treatment plan and any follow-up appointments
• Perform night duties in ICU
• Care of critical patients in the specialized intensive care unit of FMIC
• Assessment of pediatric patients in any situation in FMIC
• Cover all critical patient in ER and other department in emergency department
• Safe transportation of all critical patient during admission and doing imaging study
• On job training and leading medical officer/s to do their best
• Making good communication with all ICU team and head of department to achieve goal and objective.
• Ensure to apply all IPSG standards and monitoring standards performing by team
• Keeping updated all skills and training e.g. PALS, BLS, ACLS, ECG
• Be flexible and cooperative in stressful condition to maintain department stabilization
• Demonstrating highly academic and professional attitude in unit and hospital
• Prepare, updated/revise policies/protocols according to ICU needs
• Align with goals and objectives of department/ Organization.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all FMIC rules and regulation.
• Record complete, timely and legible medical records.
• Any other assignment by direct supervisor.

 

Periodic Responsibilities:

• Participation in Ethic Committee Meetings
• Conduct CMEs in/outside FMIC for sharing knowledge

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Requirements:

• MD from a recognized University
• PGME in Pediatric Medicine

Knowledge and Competencies:

• Ability to Care ICU patients
• Ability to work under difficult working conditions
• Excellent Communication and interpersonal skill in Dari, English and Pashto languages
• Having Good computer skill specially in MS Office programs.
