The field supervisor responsible for supervision of CARE, overall field activities of Recovery, Reintegration and Resilience (R3) Project) with provision of technical and operational support to them in any area related to the project scope and organizational. S/He should ensure on project planning, implementing, supervision and reporting of project field activities in accordance to CARE, Donor and program (R3 Project) quality standards and all contractual obligations to the donors are met. S/He ensure adequate project monitoring, achievement of agreed milestones, data collection, documentation and reporting, through weekly/monthly planning meetings using agreed work-plans and provide periodic updates to the project manager. The field supervisor is expected to maintain close cooperation with the targeted local communities, project stakeholders and to be able to coordinate and supervise everything related to the field level. S/ He will be requested to work with other project consortium members in their target areas, if required.
Project officer, project manager, humanitarian program coordinator, Gender Advisor, project technical advisors, Program Quality Unit, R3 project consortium members, project beneficiaries, CMP, government relevant counterparts/ partners, NGOs (local and national), forums, CARE internal departments/ teams, private sectors and business institutions.
Herat with frequently visits to project target areas
Key Results Expected:
The field supervisor is expected to ensure him/herself about smooth implementation of all R3 project activities on the ground but in accordance to project budget, work plan and standards. Overall results expected include but not limited to:
Excellent supervision skills from project humanitarian and financial resources, analytical skills for proposing and designing suitable livelihoods opportunities for vulnerable IDPs, returnees, and host communities in the target areas. Good understanding of community development, Conflict resolution skills. Excellent human relation, Very good technical training skills. Effective communication, inter-personal and reporting skill. Good planning and delivering the best results. Team working, trust building and empowering skills. ability to present ideas effectively. Able to facilitate change and demonstrate innovation. negotiation; gender sensitivity and cultural sensitivity. Excellent knowledge and skill to facilitate meetings effectively and efficiently; participate as org representative, self-starter, has ability to work under minimum supervision and maintain good relationships with all project internal and external stakeholders. presentation skills and working in diverse team, adapt to changing context and to respond to tight deadlines Gender sensitivity. Skills and Experience:
Education Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, community development, engineering, agribusiness, Agriculture, veterinarian, livelihood development studies, social development, and socio-economic studies, and other related fields. A Master's degree in related fields is preferred.
Work Experience: At least 4 -5 years of work experience in livelihood program/project, cash management works, GBV activities with a sustained interest in agricultural, livestock, socio-economy empowerment, community development
Languages Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English, Dari, and Pushto languages
