In 2022, the Mastercard Foundation in partnership with BRAC International (BI) will be announcing an initiative that will create positive and measurable impact for 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women and 9.5 million people across seven countries in East and West Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Job Description:

• • Work with project Team in Country level for a harmonized implementation of protection and GBV project activities across locations in which the activities will be implemented
• • Provide technical support to project team in developing and or implementing a multi-sectoral and coordinated Protection (( women and Girls) and GBV prevention and response programme to include referral and reporting mechanisms, information sharing, coordination, and monitoring/evaluation.
• • Ensure that the design and implementation of the project activities protect the rights of all population especially women, and that interventions are tailored to their different needs;.
• • To have the ability to conduct regular and ad hoc field visit as well as gender and safeguarding advocacy activities trainings to project staff. 
• • Provide oversight for programme monitoring including setting up of protection and
• • accountability mechanisms.
• • Take lead in the development and implementation of programmes and activities aimed at increasing women participation and involvement in project activities as well as their improved access to services;
•  • conduct relevant Protection and GBV training sessions for community based organizations (CBOs, staff and support the development of advocacy activities to raise awareness on Protection and Gender Equity and Equality
• • Work with local communities and stakeholders to promote protection and empowerment of women and give support & direction in designing, planning & implementation of women Led enterprises and women empowerment, and other protection activities including development of resilience and social cohesion
• • Work with local communities and stakeholders to promote protection and empowerment of women, give support & direction in designing, planning & implementation of project ,women and girls empowerment, SGBV and other protection activities 
• • To follow organization policy / procedure and code of conduct.
• • Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the finance and accounts department. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. 
• • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
• • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
• • Any other official activities, which are assigned by the supervisor.
• • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
• • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
• • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Requirements:

• • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Gender and Advocacy with at least 3- 4 years’ experience in NGO / INGO in managerial positions.

         • Experienced in Advocacy method ,technics and Gender Advocacy  

         • Experienced in Ms Word and Excel.

        • Trained on Protection, Safeguarding  

        • Skilled on
