Job Description:

The community mobilizer is responsible to maintain close relationship with the communities to facilitate a smooth program and project implementation. Facilitate awareness creation measures and facilitate responses to conflict as a tool to enable their participation in their development process.

Responsibilitie:

Tasks:

• Mobilize and sensitize communities and introduce the project to district and community levels.
• Conduct awareness raising sessions regarding different important issues through door to door visit and group awareness raising in the field.
• Find new psychosocial cases from the field and refer them to psychosocial counselor inside the center
• Conduct awareness raising inside the center for new and regular visitors
• Mobilize the community elders, leaders and Shuras for better running the project.
• Ensure people inclusion to program especially poor and excluded women and men disables and children.
• Create Multi-proposed Adolescent Groups (MAGs)
• Work closely with MAGs in target areas and try to find the communities problems, challenges and gaps
• Conduct monthly meeting with MAGs and work on problems of the communities.
• Conduct survey and distribution of FIs and NFIs per the project needs.
• Create market linkages for the vocational class students in order to sell out their hand made products into the Bazzar
• Support other colleagues in safe center with daily tasks.
• System filling, data storage and reporting to safe space officer.
• Any other duty assigned by line supervisor.

 

Job Specification:

Education & Training: Higher education in relevant subjects or Baccalaureate degree from the school.

Experience: Three years’ experience in community development and social works in field

Technical Skills:

• Experience in community mobilization.
• Team player with high level of facilitation skill.
• Ability to work hard and long, self-driven
• Hard worker under the high-pressure situation.
