The post holder will lead a team ensuring that warehousing systems and processes are in place and functioning to support the Save the Children Afghanistan program.



  • Storage & Warehousing System: Storage of the supplies is an essential part of the logistics process.
  • Ensure that storage space is adequate, secure and kept in good condition.
  • Ensure that Logistics procedures are followed strictly and all necessary forms are used, filled and filed correctly during receipt, storage and dispatch of the supplies.
  • Ensure the GRN and SRF are recorded correctly in the TIM system.
  • Conduct stock checks and stock reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Verify and submit the monthly stock reports.
  • Supervise all warehouse-related functions, including inventory, physical distribution, maintenance and record-keeping. 
  • Responsible for unloading of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Responsible for supervising of loading of shipments of ITN and other supplies to the provincial offices.  
  • Processing and completing shipment documentation.
  • Update bin card and stock when received the goods or dispatch the goods.
  • Using such techniques as FIFO and FEFO (First expiry first out) for enhanced performance. 
  • Responsible for both safety and security of the warehouse, making sure warehouse gates are properly locked before leaving.
  • Making sure the space is efficiently utilized without any congestion 
  • Maintain a safe, clean and very organized warehouse. 
  • Suggest and implement policies and procedures for proper receiving, dispatch, documenting and data entry of supplies. Make sure same procedures are followed in the Provincial offices as well. 
  • Participate in distribution of NFI when emergency happen across the province.
  • Documentation of distribution documents properly.

Job Requirements:



  • University degree in relevant filed.
  • 3 years professional experience in relevant filed.
  • Very good spoken and written in Pashto, Dari – understanding of English language is essential.
  • Good working skills on computer (Microsoft office).
  • Good communication and inter personal relation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and any inconvenience situation.
  • A good team player & problem solver.
  • Able to travel inside Afghanistan/ Kabul and related districts, outside of the duty station as and when required.

  • Fluency in English
  • Experience working in humanitarian emergencies across multiple areas of Afghanistan
  • Previous experience in NNGOs/INGOs, UN etc.
