About Community World Service Asia:

Community World Service Asia is a non-governmental organization which implements humanitarian and development activities in Asia. The Regional Director heads the program in Asia. According to the strategic plan, the Deputy Regional Director & Associate Regional Directors need community mobilizer to participate in run an effective program.


Job Description:

Key Responsibilities (Community Mobilizer):

Implementation:

 

  • Ensure effective community mobilization, sensitization and improve the community coordination through CFPs.
  • Ensure gender integration and women participation.
  • Highly consider the COVID-19 measurements and health care instructions
  • Identify the vulnerable families through FCSI analysis.
  • Conducting beneficiary’s assessment survey and identification of beneficiaries based on agreed and project developed criteria.
  • Conducting post distribution monitoring (PDM) survey, assisting Project Officer in data entry and data analysis and PDM report.
  • Developing of the case studies, taking good project photographs for documentation and visibility purpose.
  • Collection of data, data entry and data management.
  • Maintain proper records of project information and data. 
  • Support M&E Officer through conducting field monitoring visits and provide the required information and report to M&E Officer.
  • Ensure compliance to quality and accountability standards and principles during distribution of relief items.
  • Respect to the environmental principles, identify and major issues and take action on it.
  • Ensure safety and security of Project and office equipment/material and documents at office and field.
  • Generate timely reports on all field activities.
  • Community orientation on receiving cash assistance and their entitlements via Mobile company
  • Facilitate and conduct awareness sessions for project stockholders
  • Follow process flow charts of project activities and provide creative insight in making revisions, when needed.
  • Facilitate mainstreaming of Quality & Accountability on community level maintaining record of project activities and Q & A.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedure/systems of the organization;
  • Work with cooperative attitude and keep a high standard of work quality.
  • Any other relevant tasks assigned by h/her line manager.

Consultation and Coordination:

  • Close coordination, communication and meeting with Community Shura, CFPs and local government.
  • Inform the project officer for taking decision on the projects activities,

Records and Reporting:

Maintains records of all project documents including assessments, community consent, PDMs, training attendance sheet and distribution lists.

Maintain confidentiality in all information H/she gained through access to organizational database, flow of information, or othe


Job Requirements:

For the position of community Mobilizer, an intermediate certificate or graduate degree in social sciences or/and any related discipline and at least 1-year experience is considered necessary.

Experience in mobile cash distribution/Physical cash distribution, community mobilization and emergency response project would be given preference. 

Technical Competencies:

  • Excellent Mobilization skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in computer and other applications.
  • Fluency in Dari are essential and Good English language is considered as an advantage.

  • Never get physical or engage in unnecessary communication with the community residence and right holders
  • Make sure h/she is well oriented about the security policy and way of reacting while getting trouble.
  • Respect the communities cultural and its sensitivities to minimize the risk.

Languages:  Excellent Dari and local languages are essential. Good English language is considered as an advantage

IT Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
