Job Description:

The warehouse Supervisor will ensure that the tasks and responsibilities of all warehouse are performed properly.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse supervisor will be responsible for the following activities but not limited to:     

 

  • Organizing/instructing/guiding laborers during loading/offloading, storage, cleaning and any other tasks.
  • Keeping the stacks in a proper manner (clean, safe and easy to count) and being responsible for the cleanness of all the warehouse premises.
  • Assist in checking the quantity of supplies to be received/dispatched against what is communicated by UNICEF’s designated staff.
  • Report immediately any irregularities, damages or losses on shipments or stocks to UNICEF.
  • Ensure the attendant sheet / record of laborers is filled correctly and certified by UNICEF Logistics Unit. The sheet will be submitted along with monthly invoice received from the Contractor.
  • Supervise loading/un-loading operations in UNICEF warehouse
  • Perform cleaning of the warehouse in all UNICEF locations across the country.
  • Perform any other activities as instructed by UNICEF’s designated staff including driving forklifts, etc


Job Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree and higher will be preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience working in warehouses
  • Reading and writing English and local language
  • Ability to supervise group of labors efficiently in the unloading, loading and counting of supplies
  • Be familiar with medical supplies and batch control items
  • Familiarity with usage of firefighting equipment e.g. fire extinguishers
  • Familiarity with usage of photocopy machine
  • Experience in packing/re-packing process
  • License to drive a forklift (only required where UNICEF operates forklifts)
  • Good ability to work on multi-cultural teams.
  • Punctual and reliable.
