Job Description:

Job Purpose

Cook works in the office is responsible for general hygiene of kitchen as well as for Taking all over cooking activities for IMC Balkh office and Guest House

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• To prepare clean and nutritious food for all staff.
• To maintain clean the kitchen and its utensils
• To provide daily food materials from bazaar.
• To collect weekly or monthly cash for food from all IMC Laghman staff.
• To provide and cook food for parties or any other occasions held by IMC.
• To assist cooking food for training held by IMC.
• To boil water and provide tea for all IMC Laghman staff on a daily basis.
• To arrange tea for meetings and conference calls with all the necessary things.
• To make a schedule for cooking food during the week for staff.

• Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Safeguarding

• It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

Qualifications

Essential:

Must be literate  

Desirable:

High School Graduates will be given preference.  

Experience:

At least 1-2 year experience in the same field and working with any national and international organization with excellent background.

Competenc

• • To cook different dishes
  • Capacity of cooking for massive gathering, like workshops, sessions, and trainings
  • Knowledge of hygiene for kitchen
  • Good knowledge of the local language and knowledge of the working language of the duty station.
  • Good learner
