Job Description:

The cashier accurately and efficiently processes and records routine transactions for bank customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing cash advances, DAB withdrawal and deposits. In addition, the cashier promotes and advises customers on the bank’s products and services. Teller must Process all Transaction through Cash management Procedure and will directly responsible for any shortage, before processing any transaction teller must make sure the correctness of Documents as necessary for different types of Transactions. Teller is responsible to satisfied Customer’s from nature of the Transaction and Cash before leaving the Counter. 

Duties Explanation:

  1. Receive and count working cash at beginning of shift with proper denomination.
  2. Identify customers, validate and cash checks during conduct of transactions.
  3. Accept cash for deposit and check accuracy of deposit slip.
  4. Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank Policies and procedures.
  5. Balance cash drawer throughout the day with final balancing at end of day and cash scroll.
  6. Receive cash from head teller while needed and send cash to head teller while surplus, physicaly and on system.
  7. Make sure to secure the cabin while In / Out and dealt with Customers According to Bank policies.
  8. Banknotes received on validity.
  9. Responsible to keep cabine door and safe lock while leaving the cabine.
  10. Prevent unauthorized person to enter the cabine.
  11. Has knowledge of bank rules, procedure and regulation specialy LCTR (Large Cash Transaction Report) STR (Suspecious Transaction Report) and ocassional transaction.
  12. Regularly check and monitor the cash position and ensure that physical cash is tallying with the system at any point of time during the bank’s working hours.
  13. Write particular clearly.
  14. Prevent user and password sharing with others.
  15. Checking of Operational Equipment for daily Operation, Mobile and other electronic items are not allowed to use in cabin.
  16. Ensure strict control over selecting the right customers account for cash deposit and withdrawal.
  17. Resolve issues and problems with customer accounts at the level of cash activities.
  18. Explain advice and promote bank products and services to customers.
  19. Understand, adopt and adhere to bank policies, procedures, instruction and guideline.
  20. Responsible and Report any Shortage in Cash immediately on Spot to line Manager.
  21. Be Cautious while Process Cheque from all aspects and make sure that the cheque issued by Customer is Unpaid.
  22. Any other task assigned by line manager.

Job Requirements:

Excellent spoken and written communication skills – since you will interact directly with customers, good communications skills are mandatory, Dari, Pashto, English 
Computer skills,
Should have two years’ experience in the related field
