Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for the emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Description:

Coordination of Humanitarian Assistant (CHA) is given the opportunity to males and females under this position to carry out the following main activities:

  • Conduct survey along with social organizer and community for site selection
  • Proper monitoring progress of works and their implementation according to the drawing and plan.
  • Guide the CFW participants to smoothly implement the project.
  • Official visits, progress, testing data, details of variations, correspondences, and diaries in the formats approved/specified by the donor.
  • Conduct coordination meetings with different stakeholders and hold meetings for proper and timely implementation of the Project;
  • Ensure all the CFW participant's safety measurement
  • Audits, analyze the causes of accidents that occurred during the project implementation
  • Guiding and leading the CFW participants in using proper methods for proper use of construction materials and equipment in the field;
  • Perform any other task assigned field engineer.

Job Requirements:


  • The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering



  • 2 years of relevant experience 


Technical Skills:

  • Computer: Computer Microsoft Office completion program including (WORD, EXEL, POWERPOINT, and ACCESS)
  • Teamwork: Proven leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-agency environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both national languages (Dari and Pashto) and basic knowledge of the English language are essential
  • Reporting and Work plan: The Construction Project Supervisor will be responsible to submit a work plan and will provide progress, weekly, monthly, and quarterly, reports in a timely manner to the Field Engineer.
